Jermu's visit

On the 21st Jan I had a visit from my Finnish friend Jermu and his Turkish girlfriend Mine. Their presence here surely made those days brighter reminding me of times spent on BEST courses... :)

On friday we found our way through Soho to a surprisingly nice bar called Lvpo. The place was dark lit with candles and had a vampiric touch to it but it. Not long after we arrived the place was closing (3:00) and we returned home as I was quite tired from working all week. Besides we wanted to save some energy for next night:)

On Saturday we spent the afternoon doing some sightseeing through Westminster, Leicester Sq, Convent Garden and ended up having dinner in a nice british restaurant near the Golden Hind - Galleon captained by Sir Francis Drake (near London Bridge Tube Station). Though the food took long to be prepared it tasted quite good. After that we went to Vinopolis to do the The Spirit of Vinopolis Tour which included:
Admission to the Vinopolis Tour
"How to Taste Wine" session
5 Regular Wine Tastings
A Bombay Sapphire cocktail
2 Whisky Tastings
2 Absinthe Tastings
2 Beer Tastings
3 Rum Tastings
A Vinopolis Tasting Notebook

Which for £27,50 in London is not bad at all.

The had an amazing selection of wines. From Portugal they had Porto, Madeira and an Alentejo red wine. We stayed there till it was closing time which worked great for us as a lot of people, while leaving, gave us their drinks coupons allowing us to savor some more great drinks. The tour definitely worth its cost.

After that we stopped at home to get ready to hit some bars. While at home we I had the pleasure of drinking some Finnish drinks offered by Jermu: Salmiakki and Minttu. Minttu is a peppermint liqueur and its refreshing power is amazing. I really recommend anyone to try it. We spend some time in a bar on Shoreditch and then we went home. Great evening!

Next day there was still some time to show them a bit of Camden Town Market and then take them to the bus stop to the airport.

Jemu, Mine you're always welcomed!
